About the Project

Young authors often do not complete their professional training because they terminate their original course of training in order to be able to write and get established. They thus manoeuvre themselves into a difficult situation. It is therefore essential that qualification services respond to their requirements in order to keep this group involved in the process of lifelong learning, as well as to motivate them to continue to develop and apply the various different competences required by authors. Well-developed competences will not only increase their chances in the arts and theatre world, but also the probability of being able to exploit the wide range of professional possibilities offered on the labour market for their own benefit. The project aims to examine such successful – but only occasionally available – services for the professional training of authors, then engage in a process of mutual exchange, in order to define common milestones of future further development and make first steps towards realising them. In a train-the-trainer module, it will be additionally discussed how to encourage authors to link up more effectively with the working environment.
